My name is Sravya Patibandla, and I am a fourth year medical student at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. I will be going into pediatrics upon graduation, and I am creating this blog to document my international travels during my last semester of medical school.
This semester I will be rotating in both India and the Philippines to learn about healthcare in low and middle income countries, as well as to learn about the respective cultures. While in India, I will be based at a pediatrics hospital in the large city of Hyderabad. In the Philippines, I will be starting my trip in Manila, the capital city, to learn about Filipino culture and urban health, and then spend a majority of my time on a remote island to learn about rural health in the country.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog, and I hope you enjoy reading about my global health trips.
